Volunteering
At the moment, volunteering for Connecting the Rainbow is easy! You can spread the word on your blog, in online forums, Facebook, and wherever else you happen to spend your internet time.
If you are fluent in Russian, Bulgarian, or other Eastern European languages, we are in need of someone who can do translation of written materials!
In the Fall of 2010 we hope to bring a group of Physical, Occupational and Speech therapists to Bulgaria to work with families and caregivers there. If you're certified in any of the above mentioned disciplines and are interested in this opportunity, please contact us.
We're also hoping to connect with a pediatrician or developmental pediatrician who specializes in Down syndrom to conduct inservices for medical staff, bringing them up to date on the medical issues and expectations for children and individuals who have Down syndrome.
